BlueWalker GmbH expands compatibility of PowerWalker UPS

Already in November last year PowerWalker UPS systems became compatible to Synology NAS.
In close cooperation with Synology Inc. in Taipei and their German office Synology GmbH in Duesseldorf, a direct connectivity has been established that makes PowerWalker UPS plug and play compatible to all Synology NAS systems with firmware higher than 4.1.

Consequently following this up, recently also the compatibility to models from QNAP (firmware 3.8.2 or higher) and Thecus (all 64 bit systems) was realized. Under UPS support in the energy tab of the system control panel a choice of all PowerWalker UPS is available. Only enable the UPS support, choose the connected UPS model and your NAS system is already protected against crashes caused by power outages. If the power failure takes a little longer the UPS activates the shutdown
of the NAS to protect the internal hard disks and your data.
