mycitymate is a new local mobile 2.0 community which helps people find new and trendy locations as well as old and new friends – online and on mobile phones. With mycitymate, users know what is going on where, which locations to check out and where to find friends.

The problem is well known. We look for a new, trendy and exciting location to meet some friends but do not know where to start? mycitymate is the solution.

mycitymate provides a new way to solve this problem. Members of mycitymate find and review locations they already know pretty well – from bars and restaurants to museums and shops. From these reviews as well as their user profiles mycitymate derives which locations fit with which kind of member. Based on this information mycitymate can then give specific, individual recommendations to new locations – for cities one already knows, or even those one has yet to visit. A user just lets mycitymate know what he or she likes, for example in London, and mycitymate returns suitable recommendations for cities like Berlin, Madrid or Rome. And all this is then available as a mobile guide.

Once on the road, mycitymate members can use the mobile “mate-locator” to find friends, friends of friends or even someone they have a crush on. Users can log-in with mycitymate mobile and find out who wants to meet up, and where their friends are, without having to call everyone.
