A survey made on Wednesday by industrial software company Ventyx, a subsidiary of ABB, shows that mining industry safety is one of the three top concerns by mining executives, including employee safety, managing capital projects and maximising production effectiveness. This study makes the mining safety on the top position in mining industry.

The 2012 Worldwide Mining Survey analyzed new trends and shifting attitudes around workforces, capital investments and technology and purports to represent the views of 374 mining companies. The results indicate that ensuring workforce safety is the top priority for the second time in three years, with 31% of respondents saying so.

It is shows that mining industry has began to emphasize on safety issue, but not attach important solely on profit. This is an advancement of the mining industry development. However, to achieve this goal, the mining machinery plays an important role for mining industry.
