Central Europe International Congress for the Automotive Industries in Germany, Zwickau 2013

Berlin, 27.01.2013 - The 17th. International Congress of the Automotive Industry will take place inZwickau/State of Saxony, 9th. and 10.th. October 2013. In the heart of the continent and in the middle of first class car production Zwickau once again will be one of the plattforms of business dialog in the automotive industry.

Once the centre of the east German automotive industry Saxony and city of Zwickau in Germany`s federal state of Saxony are the centre of innovative development, science, production and automotive creativity.
Organizer: Zwickau Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in close cooperation with it`s network partners.

Patronage: H.E. the Minister President of Saxony, Mr Stanislaw Tillich, Free State of Saxony.

The auto industry today is faced with enormous challenges again. Manufacturers and suppliers need to make investments in new technologies to meet the needs of the market and heavy global competition. The emerging automotive markets including China, India, and the ASEAN countries, especially Thailand, Indonesia - as well as on the U.S. are both, challenge and opportunity. Suppliers need to diversify and: to cooperate.

Since the German Industry in the automotive sector is mainly represented by small and medium sized companies the understanding of innovation, creativity and flexibility is well developed. To compete successfully, new markets have to be discovered, cooperations established and products developed. Zwickau Chamber and the “automotive network east” is focusing on these issues carefully. Together with the international partners from the public and private sectores, answers and opportunities shall be given and developed.

Zwickau Chamber has already acquired commitments by renowned speakers from the industry, as Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Dudenhöffer, director of CAR-Research. The also expect a business delegation from the United States. Supported by the VDA eV and the Automotive Cluster Eastern Germany (ACOD), the organizer expects high ranking international attendance again.
