How to increase the speed of loading and processing CAD drawings
Many kinds of mobile CAD software on the market have a qualified capability of drawings processing, such as AutoCAD WS and GstarCAD MC; but that’s when viewing an uncomplicated drawing. However, it is harder for the existing mobile CAD software to open larger or more complicated drawings.
To improve the capability of loading and processing of CAD software, the fundamental way is improving the computing capacity of mobile devices. Besides, it is necessary for developers to exploit the potential of the software; and take the advantage of the maximum performance of the hardware. So, when users open a larger or complicated drawing, they will have a better and higher speed experience.
2. How to improve the network performance
There are two modes of network supporting: one is network application mode by AutoCAD WS; users can only use the software under a network environment. The other one is offline application mode by GstarCAD MC; this mode allows users freely use the software without network, while, the drawings transmission by email makes up the gap of network application.
Both of the two modes are imperfect, the networking of mobile CAD software still has a long way to go. At present, including Gstarsoft, most of CAD developers are exploiting to apply the cloud service on CAD.
3. How to optimize mobile devices
Because mobile CAD comes from PC, there are many similarities on the usage method with the traditional CAD software. So, it can keep the working habits of users, however, the mobile devices are not optimized enough. The experience on such a small thing is still competitive with PC ends.
To change this situation, mobile CAD developers need to do the research on the special requirements and optimization on mobile application, such as how to take the advantages of the gravity sensor and light sensor on the mobile devices. If CAD developers can achieve a breakthrough on those functions, the mobile CAD software will be accepted by most of users in the future undoubtedly.
