NoPrint.js: Disable printing, screenshots, copy and paste in HTML by JavaScript

Today PDFAntiCopy, Inc. released NoPrint.js V1.0, which is a small and neat open source JS library that can disable printing, screenshots, copy and paste functions in HTML. It also provides the option to enable AutoBlur to make the content blur after the mouse leaves the web page. This feature can prevent most common users from taking screenshots. NoPrint.js can run on almost all browsers such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Opera.

NoPrint.js Functions

1. Disable copy and paste

The "noPrint" option will disable the CTRL + P shortcut key and printing function. Even if the viewer tries to print a web page through the browser menu or button, the content will become a blank page when printing. The developer can set "noPrint" to false to turn off print protection.

2. Disable printing, right mouse button and Ctrl + S shortcut key

The "noCopy" option will disable text selection, right mouse button, CTRL + S (save web page), and copy and paste functions. Developers can set the "noCopy" to false to turn off this protection.

3. Disable screenshots

The "noScreenshot" option will disable the "PrintScreen" key to prevent visitors from taking screenshots and web page snapshots easily. Developers can set the "noScreenshot" to false to turn off this feature.

4. AutoBlur

Once the mouse cursor leaves the content area, autoBlur will blur all content on the web page. The viewer can change the content back to a clear look by clicking on the web page. This prevents people from taking screenshots through third-party applications or the snapshot function on the Opera toolbar. Developers can set autoBlur to false to disable automatic blur.
