Software Development Firms Show Highest Demand for Enterprise Unit Testing Tools in 2012, Typemock Finds

Enterprise Unit Testing common in financial sector; Security and healthcare, telecom and energy sectors also increasing Unit Testing adoption

Over the past year, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) had the highest increased demand for automated unit testing tools. Over 30 percent of new Typemock customers originated from this industry.

Developer testing is also becoming widespread in other markets. Typemock’s findings show that new customers from the financial sector made up about 15 percent of new unit testing demand. Security and healthcare sectors each made up approximately 10 percent of new unit testing demand in 2012. The telecom and energy sectors each made up about 5 percent of new companies committed to unit testing.
