Dali Wireless™ Introduces its Low Power t-Series Solution: tHost™ and t30™
Press release from: Dali Wireless
Palo Alto, October 25, 2012 – Dali Wireless, a leader in next generation wireless infrastructure, today announced the release of its low power t-Series solution, which consists of the t30 remote unit and the tHost head-end.
The exponential growth of mobile data capacity is challenging traditional cellular networks. Dali Wireless has created a unique solution to address these capacity limitations by combining industry standard protocols with the culmination of over a decade of research and development in software configurable radio (SCR) technologies. SCR are a complex interplay of digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms, radio frequency (RF) technologies, intelligent network protocols and system architecture. Dali applies its proprietary SCR technologies to Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), which enable high data throughput while providing efficiency, flexibility and control that is unparalleled in the DAS infrastructure industry.
Dali’s tHost integrates seamlessly with the t-Series complete line of remote units for both indoor, outdoor, as well as for low, high and integrated power deployments, thereby ensuring optimal coverage and delivery of capacity solutions.
The tHost provides eight simplex RF interfaces for connection to the base station and six optical interfaces for data transfer to remote locations. The tHost simultaneously addresses multi-operator and multi-band environments within one network and no service-specific devices are required.
Dali’s low power remote, the t30, is available as a quad band unit with 1 watt per frequency band. The design simplicity of the t30 allows for easy installation. Multiple optical ports are available for flexibility in configuring the network in any architecture. The t30 is also available in an eight band version providing full multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) capability on all bands.
Dali’s low power DAS solution can be configured in a daisy-chain configuration with optical bypass in, as well as star architecture. The increased efficiency and utilization of new and existing assets will fundamentally change the way operators plan and deploy DAS networks.
According to Albert Lee, Dali Wireless CEO, “We are extremely excited about our game-changing hardware and software solutions. Our innovative approach to solving wireless network challenges will revolutionize the way Distributed Antenna Systems and Small Cell technology impacts the user experience for wireless operators, enterprises and, ultimately, the end customer.”
