LOS ANGELES, (October 22, 2012) –In celebration of the holiday season, the Los Angeles landmark Hyatt Regency Century Plaza hotel launches The Rink on November 15th, a 3,000 square foot, eco-friendly synthetic hybrid skating rink located in the hotel’s outdoor backyard. Media preview event will be on Wednesday, November 14th at 5 pm. The Rink is a complimentary amenity available to hotel guests during their stay, and costs $10 per hour or $20 for a full day pass for non-guests. Skate rental is included in the admission fee and bringing your own skates is permitted. No reservations are required. The Rink is open to the general public November 15th – January 3, 2013 and features live music daily. The Rink is open Monday - Friday from 3pm – 9pm, and Saturday – Sunday from 11am – 9pm. As part of a The Rink’s media preview event on November 14th, Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles will celebrate children’s wishes. In honor of the Greater Los Angeles chapter’s30th anniversary, Hyatt Regency Century Plaza will donate 30% of The Rink’s sales back to the Foundation November 15th - November 25th. The Rink will open to the general public on November 15th. As part of the opening day celebration, skaters skate to live music, receive complimentary hot cocoa and the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza’s renowned Bread Pudding, and can win door prizes including gift certificates to the hotel’s Breeze restaurant, X bar and nearby Century City Westfield Mall.

Schools and local charities may reserve The Rink for fundraising events, and Hyatt Regency Century Plaza will donate 20% of The Rink sales back to the designated organization.
