serVonic today announced its IXI-UMS 5.9 unified messaging solution has achieved certified integration with the SAP® NetWeaver® technology platform. Specifically, through integration with the SAP® NetWeaver®, faxes can be sent directly from SAP solutions.

By means of the addressing, the system recognizes that this is a message for the unified messaging server and transfers it via the SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS)-SAPconnect interface for fax software (BC-CON) 3.1. The message is processed by the IXI-UMS Server accordingly and then sent. Incoming messages can also be received directly in systems running SAP solutions. After the messages have arrived within the IXI-UMS system and have been processed, they are transferred to the SAP solution-based system via the RFC-based SAPconnect interface for fax software and are routed to the inbox of the respective recipient.

The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that serVonic’s IXI-UMS 5.9 integrates with the SAP ERP 6.02 application via the BC-CON 3.1 integration scenario. IXI-UMS provides unified messaging features for solutions including SAP ERP, SAP Business All-In-One and SAP Business Suite.
