Leading with Test Data Management: Ray Scott to speak at the Teradata PARTNERS User Group Conference & Expo
Press release from: Grid-Tools
Oxford, UK – Ray Scott, Director of Agile services at Grid-Tools, will be a guest speaker at Teradata PARTNERS User Group Conference & Expo in Washington this month.
The event is the premiere conference for business and IT professionals, and aims to provide attendees with the opportunity to learn from world-leading analysts and technologists, as they showcase innovation and world-class methodologies for data integration and big data analytics.
Speaking on the opening day, October 21st, Scott will present a comprehensive insight into the world of data provisioning in a fast-paced development environment. “It's no longer just a testing issue, it's a product delivery concern,” says Scott, “If you do not understand your data then you do not understand how to test your product, so I’ll be demonstrating how to identify and solve data provisioning issues across organisations.”
A mentor in Agile principles, Scott has over 25 years’ experience in the IT industry, including 15 years as a project development lead. Primarily based in the United States, he has experience of leading a range of Development and Quality System implementations. Scott is also seen as an evangelist, specializing in SCRUM and eXtreme programming methodologies and is a certified SCRUM Master and Practitioner, as well as a recognised Test Methodologist.
“The last major innovation to hit Quality Assurance was Automation and after two decades, it can demonstrate ROI and has a major part to play in product development,” Scott adds, “The latest innovation is Data but organizations must be ready to move to the next evolution.
“Simple provisioning of data has been surpassed, and test engineers are expected to deliver strategies for data mining, business knowledge and testing scenarios. Supporting this complex infrastructure in a changing environment requires new skills and best practices to achieve efficiency and reduce the application’s time to market and cost of delivery. This is what I’ll be focusing on. ”

Comments about openPR
OpenPR ist the nicest and most clearly laid out PR platform I have seen to this day. The press releases are displayed very nicely and clearly and without any unnecessary frills.
The updates are fast and the finished release looks appealing and is clearly legible.
Even with 16 years of experience one discovers new things from time to time.
Congratulations!
