LOS ANGELES, CA – October 2, 2012 – En Pointe Technologies, a solution provider of IT products and services, today announced the appointment of Tom Versfelt to vice president of Cisco Solutions Practice. Versfelt brings twenty-five years of innovative and successful executive leadership experience in systems, software, networking, and Software as a Service (SaaS).

Versfelt will be responsible for building and driving the strategic direction of En Pointe’s Cisco Solutions Practice. His focus includes business development and market expansion, and evolving the Cisco relationship around the core architectures of the data center, collaboration, and borderless networks.

Versfelt will also head up operations of the En Pointe Collaboration Solution (ECS), a hosted, subscription-based collaboration service that integrates voice, mobility, audio, web and video conferencing, presence technology, and call center applications. The offering reinforces En Pointe’s continued commitment to the expansion of its cloud offerings.

“Tom brings a tremendous amount of experience from Cisco in many different roles and capacities. His vast background on understanding and growing a business, and relationship across Cisco, will help further strengthen our leadership team,” said Michael Rapp, president of En Pointe Technologies. “We are excited to have Tom on board. His appointment allows us to continue demonstrating our focus and commitment to the Cisco line and growing the overall business with collaborative, holistic solutions.”

Most recently, Versfelt was senior director of worldwide WebEx sales, operation and marketing for the commercial markets at Cisco Systems, Inc., where he was responsible for building, developing and executing sales and operations strategies for Cisco’s SaaS offerings. During his four years in this role, Versfelt helped develop a SaaS partner lead model to scale into new market segments and built marketing plans to support the sales teams, which resulted in consistent year on year growth.

During his tenure at Cisco, Versfelt held various executive leadership positions in sales and engineering, operations, and advance technologies, providing him with a strong background in data center, collaboration and core technologies.

“I am excited to be a part of the En Pointe leadership team as I feel we are well positioned to take advantage of market transitions that are in early growth phases,” said Versfelt. “En Pointe’s early investments in infrastructure, cloud services and data center virtualization provides us with the resources and unique value proposition in the market that positions us for long term success.”
