The built-in, rich transactional email feature enables merchants to create and send timely, personalized emails based on site events such as customer registration, order confirmation, shipping notification, and shopping cart abandonment.

For example, GoECart client MyWeddingReceptionIdeas.com uses the feature to easily follow up with abandoned shopping cart customers via drip email campaigns. Using the automated functionality built into GoECart, the merchant is able to follow up with customers via an attractive, branded email message saying: “We noticed you left you some items in your shopping cart. Is there anything we can do to assist you with your online order?”

MWRI also uses the feature to encourage customers to submit product reviews on the site. Since its implementation, the number of product reviews submitted by MWRI’s customers has increased ten-fold. Other benefits have included reduced customer service calls, improved email deliverability and better organic search rankings.

Merchants can create, manage, optimize and quickly send the email creative right from the software’s Administration Console. In addition, email templates can be configured to dynamically include customer and order information, such as customer name, order date, order number, and shipment tracking information.

For example, the content of the message might say: Buy from us today and get 10% instant discount or $20 off or free shipping. According to research analysts at MarketingExperiments.com, incentives like discounts such as these can improve email-to-sale conversions by as much as 263%.
