Songwon to present paper on High Heat, Low Emission Stabilizers at Innoplast Conference in Las Vegas
Press release from: Marketing Solutions
PR Agency: Marketing Solutions
Ulsan, Korea – September 20, 2012 – At the upcoming InnoPlast Conference “Plastics Modification Technologies via Additives, Compounding, Coatings & Processing”, Songwon will present a paper entitled “Substantial Improvements in the Thermal Stability of Thick-Section PP Parts using a Low Emissions Stabilizer”. The conference will take place in Las Vegas, USA, from October 17 - 19.
Dr. John Mara, Manager Global Tech Service, Songwon International-Americas, USA, describes what he will present in Las Vegas: “We have developed a series of high heat antioxidant packages offering varying levels of low odor, low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and Long Term Thermal Stability (LTTS). The intended end-use applications are polypropylene (PP) based and include, among others, interior and exterior automotive and appliance applications. These new systems offer significantly extended durability in comparison with classic systems and are effective up to 150⁰C service temperatures, meeting all performance standards at significantly reduced concentrations.”
Emissions from polymers and polymer compounds are a significant topic, especially in the automotive industry, as they lead to a variety of issues such as odor and ‘fogging’ on the windshield which can impare vision. Classical additive packages are available to tackle the issue however, these often compromise other key properties of the matrix compound in its end-use application. The new Songwon range of Low Emission Stabilizers provide a solution and, at the same time, maintain desired performance standards.

Comments about openPR
OpenPR ist the nicest and most clearly laid out PR platform I have seen to this day. The press releases are displayed very nicely and clearly and without any unnecessary frills.
The updates are fast and the finished release looks appealing and is clearly legible.
Even with 16 years of experience one discovers new things from time to time.
Congratulations!
