DALLAS – The prominent Texas trial and appellate law firm Godwin Ronquillo PC is pleased to announce that seven shareholders from the firm’s Dallas, Houston and Plano offices have earned recognition on the 2012 Texas Super Lawyers listing.

Firm Chairman and CEO Donald E. Godwin, as well as President and Public Law Section Chair Marcos G. Ronquillo, are being honored for the 10th consecutive year for their Business Litigation work. Additionally, Mr. Godwin, who was featured on the cover of the inaugural Texas Super Lawyers magazine in 2003, was selected among the Top 100 Attorneys in Texas and Top 100 Attorneys in Dallas-Fort Worth for 2012.

R. Alan York of Houston, the firm’s Executive Vice President and Appellate Section Chair, also earned his 10th consecutive selection based on his work in Appellate matters.

The 2012 list marks the first selection for several Godwin Ronquillo attorneys. Marilea W. Lewis, the firm’s Family Law Litigation Section Chair is acknowledged for her work in the area of Family Law. Health Law Litigation Section Chair G. Michael Stewart of Dallas is recognized on the list based on his work in Business Litigation, and Dallas Shareholder Gavin E. Hill earned a spot on the list based on his Civil Litigation Defense work.

Texas Super Lawyers is based on peer nominations solicited from more than 70,000 attorneys from across the state. A panel of lawyers selected by the publication’s editors made the final selections, with less than 5 percent of Texas attorneys chosen for the list.
