arvato Systems Awarded Contract by EnBW Subsidiary TransnetBW

IT Service Provider Supplies IT Outsourcing and System Integration Services to Transmission System Operator

(arvato Systems) Gütersloh, Germany – Following an EU-wide tendering process, the transmission system operator, TransnetBW GmbH, located in Stuttgart, Germany, has commissioned arvato Systems with its IT outsourcing and corresponding IT system integration services.

TenneT TSO has been one of the system integrator’s customers since 2011. Now with the TransnetBW contract, two of the four national transmission system operators – the backbone of Germany’s energy revolution – are already relying on the expertise and efficiency of arvato Systems.

Comprehensive IT outsourcing

TransnetBW operates the transmission infrastructure in Baden-Württemberg and has around 3,300 kilometers of power lines. It is integrated into the national and European distribution network via many cross-border transfer points. It is also directly connected to the networks inside Germany, as well as in France and Switzerland. As part of the contracted project, arvato Systems will provide TransnetBW with services for IT outsourcing and system integration.
