Press release from: European Computer Telecoms AG

Dedicated website to promote cloud-based PBX and centrex products

Munich July 26 2012: ECT (European Computer Telecoms AG), vendor of complete solutions for value-added services in the voice and multimedia domain, announces the launch of their new website http://www.ect-virtualpbx.com for carriers and service providers that want to offer PBX functionalities hosted in their mobile network. Buying a solution from ECT enables operators to offer true fixed-mobile convergence and to compete with the vendors of premise-based PBX gear.

Visitors to the website find information on ECT’s product portfolio of PBX and centrex-related products as well as information on how carriers and their corporate customers can benefit from virtual PBX.

Companies using the virtual solution replace their premise-based PBX and lower their monthly phone bills because users need only one mobile phone for fixed and mobile calls with only one invoice and no separate costs for mobile subscriptions. Additionally, internal calls can be free regardless of the called and the calling party’s location. There are no costs for PBX installation and internal wiring either.

“Our virtual PBX is a truly convergent solution that replaces all the customer’s fixed and mobile phones with one phone,” explains Carlos Branco, Product Manager at ECT. “It is much cheaper than any on-premise solution and has all the advantages of free internal calling and includes all PBX features. On top, companies using the service can replace their costly monthly mobile subscriptions. This cost advantage helps carriers to increase their customer retention.”

The first company to offer this service in Germany is the Dutch-Swedish joint venture and KPN subsidiary OnePhone.

The Virtual PBX website is the third product website launched by ECT after the company put web portals online for their ring back tone solution as well as for their network-based contact center portfolio. This is part of a marketing strategy to showcase each product group individually and a service to ECT customers. These have dedicated websites from which they can draw information without having to browse through things that are not relevant for them.
