(openPR) - New Product Automatically Sends Email Alerts About Key Project Conditions
Munich, Germany. 25 June 2007 – TPG The Project Group GmbH, a leading provider of Microsoft Project add-in products, today announced that it is adding to its range with the TPG MailNotifier. Project managers can configure the new product to send out role-specific emails containing information about important project conditions in the Microsoft Project Server and SQL Server. As the messages are sent automatically, the tool provides an efficient way to remind project participants to update their project data. As a result, TPG MailNotifier creates the conditions required for more precise project management based on the newest data. TPG MailNotifier is available now from TPG.
TPG MailNotifier identifies which electronic timesheets in Microsoft Project Web Access have not been completely filled out. It then automatically sends role-specific email reminders to the people concerned at configurable intervals. Consequently, project participants are required to complete the necessary actual data, while the project manager is spared the task of sending out reminders. Additional features that increase efficiency include reminders to project managers concerning actual times that have not yet been approved, and to administrators regarding error logs.
“The configuration of who is being sent which mail with what content is carried out via XML, so that the mail recipients as well as the content can be obtained from the SQL server,” says Johann Strasser, Managing Director and Development Director at TPG. That makes it possible for companies to utilize TPG MailNotifier in a variety of applications that go beyond just using it with Microsoft Project Server.” TPG MailNotifier can send emails in HTML or plain text format, and can automatically fetch and attach documents from the file system. It can also be configured to copy (cc) or blind-copy (bcc) the email to other people for documentation purposes.
