(openPR) - Olching, 22nd June 2007: serVonic’s unified messaging solution IXI-UMS has been successfully tested for the new Dialogic 3000 Media Gateways. Therewith, the unified messaging solution now can be applied even more flexible in combination with Microsoft Unified Messaging and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.

With the new Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, integrated unified messaging features for fax reception, voice box and mobility are available for the first time. serVonic now offers companies that want to make use of these Microsoft Unified Messaging-features an IXI-UMS Special Edition, which adds the lacking UM-features fax sending and SMS. “As Microsoft Unified Messaging imperatively requires SIP-connection, an implementation of the Special Edition was only possible in the IP-environment until now,” says Jochen Klein, CEO and Technical Consultant at serVonic. “With the successful test on the 3000 Media Gateways from Dialogic, which enable a bridging of all the commercially available PBX’s to SIP, the Special Edition now can also be used in the ISDN-environment without difficulty.“ The IXI-UMS software in the Special Edition as supplement to Microsoft Unified Messaging can be installed with the services “IXI-UMS FaxOutOnly“ or “IXI-UMS FaxOutOnly and SMS“ directly on the Dialogic 3000 Media Gateway. Companies that want to apply Microsoft Exchange 2007 and want to handle unified messaging completely via IXI-UMS now have both the installation variants at their disposal: IXI-UMS now can be installed directly on the Dialogic 3000 Media Gateway or – as usual – on a separate PC with Dialogic Diva hardware.
