Nova Specialty Surgery, India's leading short-stay surgical center, organized the ‘1st Annual Nova Bariatric Master Class’ at Tardeo, Mumbai on June 30 and July 01 to train bariatric surgeons and general surgeons in bariatric surgical techniques. The ‘Nova Bariatric Master Class’ is a dedicated bariatric surgical training program for surgeons and their teams to help them understand and practice bariatric surgery effectively. This two-day workshop showcased live surgeries viz. Gastric Sleeve and Gastric Bypass surgeries at Nova’s ‘Center for Metabolic Surgery’, Tardeo. The live feeds of these surgeries were telecast to the surgeons present at Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education (EISE), Mahim, Mumbai. The workshop included ‘Animal lab and Endo-trainer sessions’ and comprehensive pre and post-surgery management training with an emphasis on ambulatory bariatric care.
