Internet Retailers Impressed With Benefits Of Numina Group's Warehouse Automation Technology
Press release from: Numina Group

Benefits include fast, accurate order fulfillment, improved customer retention and lower operating costs.
• Pick, pack and ship orders faster
• Reduces errors in the shipping process with accuracy rates above 99.9%
• Reduces operating expenses including labor costs
• Reduces overhead costs including conveyor machinery and hardware and material handling
• Increases customer satisfaction and retention
Visitors to the booth were impressed with demos of the Voice Pick technology. The technology does not require voice training on the part of the operator, which means users can become proficient in its use very quickly. The multi-modal voice picking technology features voice and barcode validation, which can reduce 30% or more in labor costs from the picking process.
Additional labor expenses can be cut by eliminating much of the secondary order checking by combining the pick-pack validation into one step through the use of a hands-free ring or back of hand scanner. The result is the ability to pick directly to the shipping box and take advantage of an automated packaging technology.
"Lean Process' that employ minimum touch and best work path slotting principles in order fulfillment produce a simpler and more scalable distribution operation," said Dan Hanrahan, President of Numina Group. "Lean Processes’ result in improved ergonomics, lower labor costs and travel time, and save space by operating in a smaller footprint or facility. Customers achieve ROI of 12-24 months compared to 5 years or more with complex automated material handling systems,” concluded Hanrahan.
For customers interested in adopting a Lean Process, Numina Group designs a custom tailored, cost effective, scalable solution that includes technologies such as Multimodal Voice Picking, Automated Packing, and Print and Apply Labeling. The result is a streamlined order fulfillment process with increased productivity, faster more accurate shipping, and reduced operational costs.
