European State Aid in the Agricultural Sector

Press release from: European Academy for Taxes, Economics & Law

European Seminar

27th – 28th September 2012, Ramada Hotel Berlin-Alexanderplatz, Berlin, Germany

At this European seminar participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the specific scope of State aid rules in the agricultural sector.

State aid rules for the agricultural sector strongly differ from general EU State aid regulations. Even after years of experiences in this field, many Member States still face difficulties when implementing these rules.

- Which measures require notification and how can you handle the notification process?
- What are the Dos and Don’ts while working with the European Commission?
- How will the current Common Agricultural Policy be changed after 2013 and what are the impacts on agricultural State aid?

The European seminar European State Aid in the Agricultural Sector offers answers to all these and many other questions related to State aid in the agricultural sector.

The lecturers are European experts and practitioners among others from:

• DG Agriculture and Rural Development, European Commission
• Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), United Kingdom
• The Danish AgriFish Agency, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Denmark
• Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, United Kingdom

Expected Participants:

Employees of public administrations responsible for national and EU funding as well as State aid regulations in the agricultural sector, Experts from Public and Private Banks, Lawyers and Consultants
