On June 29th, the liquidFOLDERS UG (limited liability) has released a new version of the frequent flyer software "Flightmap" on flightmap.net/ . Flightmap enables users to manage and store flight plans, from both personal or staff travel. Core feature is the visualization of flight plans on high-resolution maps.

Flightmap customers are travellers and frequent flyers, but also consulting businesses that use the software for statistic evaluation of staff travel. Among other users are aviation related businesses that employ the software in their customer relationship management.

The liquidFOLDERS UG (limited liability) has acquired Flightmap on September 26th, 2011, and further developed the software. Among other features, a 3D view has been added, and users can attach files such as photos or logged GPS tracks to individual flights. In addition, Flightmap 2 is based on a whole new technology as its predecessor, and runs much faster.

The liquidFOLDERS project was launched in Dortmund in April 2009, with an eXist seed grant and formal incorporation of the liquidFOLDERS UG in March 2010.

Flagship product is liquidFOLDERS, a new file system for Microsoft Windows that doesn't keep files in fixed directories, but in "Stores". liquidFOLDERS can filter, group and visualize all files in a store using a very fast index. This allows the user to easily arrange all files to suit his current needs. The software is available as shareware since July 1st, 2011.

In addition, the liquidFOLDERS UG (limited liability) continues to add further products to its portfolio. The newest aquisition is Flightmap, a software for visualizing and analyzing flight plans.
