Allianz named ‘Queensland Day Allrounder Insurer of the Year’ at the Council of Queensland Insurance Broker Awards
Press release from: Allianz Australia
For the second year running, Allianz has been named the Best Allround Insurer by the Council of Queensland Insurance Brokers (CQIB) at their annual Queensland Day Insurance Awards.
The Allrounder of the Year is a member-voted award that recognises the performance of insurers over the past 12 months. Members take into consideration factors such as security, product range, service levels, claims administration, accounts, communication, price, and availability of senior Management.
Terry Towell, Managing Director Allianz has praised the work of staff in achieving this recognition from Queensland brokers. “We are delighted that the hard work of our Queensland team has been recognised by the broker community. The last 12 months has been a challenging time for Queenslanders and we are proud to have been able to assist them in rebuilding their communities,” said Mr Towell.
“To have received the Allrounder Award for the second year in a row is a testament to the strength of the relationships we have developed with our broker partners. We value the support of these partners in delivering solutions to our customer’s needs,” said Mr Towell.
The award was accepted by Queensland State Manager, Commercial B&A, Chris Lynch at the award ceremony held in Brisbane on 7 June.
Founded in 1980, the CQIB now represents over 60 Queensland firms collectively employing nearly 400 staff and placing in excess of $500,000,000 in annual premiums. This was the CQIB’s 19th annual Queensland Day celebration and Insurance Awards ceremony.
Allianz Australia delivers a wide range of personal, commercial and corporate insurance products and services to more than 2 million policyholders. Over 50% of Australia’s top 200 BRW-listed companies have some form of insurance cover with the group and the group provides workers compensation services to around one-fifth of Australian employees.
