UNOS Vision Controller Software provides Missing Link for AVB Networks
Press release from: UMAN Universal Media Access Networks GmbH
Powerful native and license-free controller software
Düsseldorf/Las Vegas, June 2012 UMAN the global leader in digital A/V media network transport and network connectivity releases the world’s first Ethernet AVB compatible Controller Software based on UNOS the universal netOS with native AVB support.
With the recent introduction of IEEE 1722.1 discovery and control protocol standard, AVB endpoints can now be managed over the network. UMAN’s UNOS Vision controller software completes the picture by providing a license-free, command and control GUI for managing the AVB endpoints using 1722.1.
“It is clear for us that UNOS Vision as the platform independent Command and Control Framework within the Family of UNOS applications and UNOS middleware needs to talk all relevant standards natively. So it was a no brainer for us to implement IEEE 1722.1 at a stage where it is mature. At the AVnu InfoComm 2012 Interop demo this has become true. We are proud to support this exciting event with UNOS Vision”, says UMAN‘s CEO Jürgen Scheuring.
UMAN also showcases at InfoComm the sophisticated AVB-DSP reference design that provides a gateway for manufacturers that want to join AVB based audio networking and state-of-the-art DSP processing in combination with next generation platform independent command & control.
UMAN. Inspiring networks.
