SkyDox and European Court of Human Rights Offer Insight on Managing Content in the Era of Big Data at info360

Press release from: SkyDox
PR Agency: March Communications

SkyDox, a leading provider of cloud-enabled file sharing, file synchronization, file storage, and collaboration tools, will be speaking alongside the European Court of Human Rights at the info360 Conference & Expo this week in New York. The organizations will present the session Big Data and Document Management: Managing Your Content on Thursday, July 14, 2012 from 2:50 p.m. - 3:35 p.m.

What: Data and document management is an issue that all enterprises have to resolve. For certain organizations that have large legacy documents stored, however, doing so becomes a near-unwieldy task all unto itself. Josh Gilbertson, co-founder and business development director at SkyDox; and John Hunter, head of IT at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), will tackle this issue and explain how, together, they enabled the seamless search and access of more than 90,000 documents on the ECHR website -- while also integrating with the organization’s existing content management solutions, Microsoft SharePoint and FAST.
Why: Too often, poor document management on websites results in lost revenues and media exposure, missed new business opportunities, and disclosure failures. Improving document delivery, however, enables organizations to differentiate from competitors and increase visibility among potential customers, media and analysts, and prospective partners and investors, among other key stakeholders.

Where: SkyDox and ECHR’s session, “Big Data and Document Management: Managing Your Content” is part of info360’s Big Data and Analytics Track and will be held in room 3D12 in the Javits Center.
When: Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 2:50 p.m.- 3:35 p.m.

Who: John Hunter, head of the IT Department at the European Court of Human Rights, has spoken at several Hummingbird and OpenText conferences, including numerous conferences in London, Belgium, and Paris. He has been a consultant for the United Nations, the Russian and Dutch Supreme Court, the UK Ministry of Defence ,and the Department of Trade. He has advised these entities on the implementation of case and document management systems.

Josh Gilbertson is a co-founder and business development director at SkyDox, a collaboration platform built from the ground-up for the enterprise. Prior to founding SkyDox, Josh established Sandler Training, a people development agency for technology and marketing services organizations, and NZ Runway, a large-scale consumer event for the design and fashion industries, in conjunction with Fashion Week.
