South America gets Danish business intelligence

South America gets Danish business intelligence

The Danish Foreign Ministry has elected Business Intelligence software company, TARGIT, in their new growth program.

According to TARGIT Partner Channel COO, Mr. Flemming Madsen, the Danish company now aims to be a dominating player in the Business Intelligence market in Brasil.

”There is a huge interest in our product in Brasil, and our local distributor is doing a great job in promoting TARGIT. During my last visit in the country, we established two strategic deals with new partners that have generated significant business for TARGIT, and we see much more potential in the new partners,” says Flemming Madsen. “We are now going expand our business while we have momentum in the market. We want to export to other South American countries too, and we expect the success in Brasil to rub-off on the new markets.”

TARGIT has been developing and exporting the BI software, TARGIT BI Suite, worldwide for a number of years. “We have been quite successful, but our go-to-market model needs to be challenged,” says Flemming Madsen, when explaining why he wants TARGIT to be part of the ministry’s growth program. “Our approach to exporting our software has always been pragmatic. We would like to add a more theoretical method for approaching a new market. We expect that developing our go-to-market-model in this fashion will give us more success in the Brazilian market. We anticipate using the new approach method for other markets and expect to become even more successful internationally,” ends the COO.

The Danish Foreign Ministry created the new growth program for Danish companies that have the potential to expand globally. The ministry expects that participating companies will experience success within 15 months.

TARGIT is Europe's largest pure-play developer of Business Intelligence (BI) products and the fastest growing in terms of revenue according to IDC. TARGIT is included in Gartner's "Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms".

TARGIT Headquarters is located in Hjørring, Denmark, and there is a TARGIT subsidiary located in Florida, US.
