European Master of Educational Management – new program in Germany!
Press release from: University of Applied Management
Unna, June 1, 2012 - A consortium of four European Universities is launching an international Joint Master Degree Program in Germany.
Educational Institutions around the world are facing similar challenges: the pressure to expand student numbers, to reduce costs, to enhance research and to strengthen accountability to their stakeholders such as governments and students. In addition, the application of innovative pedagogical concepts, new technologies, increasing diversity and internationalization as well as the call for lifelong learning concepts are issues and trends facing educational institutions and providers today.
The European consortium has designed this master program in response to these trends, and in order to strengthen and extend academic cooperation with existing partner institutions in Europe as well as other developing countries.
The European Joint Master Program is offered by the UAM, the University of Applied Management (Germany), the Riga Teacher Training and Education Management Academy (Latvia), the Private University College of Education of the Diocese Linz (Austria) and the private University Seeburg Castle (Austria).
The program offers a blend of practical knowledge, conceptual framework, state-of-the-art research while emphasizing a global perspective on education management. It aims at preparing motivated and qualified students and professionals in the field of policy, planning and leadership necessary to guide, influence and actively shape educational institutions.
The innovative and flexible educational concept accommodates both international students and professionals, who want to advance in their careers. The blended-learning format offers a high variety of instructional methods and approaches including experiential onsite phases, academic excursions as well as virtual phases. The degree program can be combined with regular employment to give students the extra advantage of completing their degree while gaining valuable work experience and the chance to directly transfer theory into practice.
For more information about the degree program visit www.educational-management.eu.
„Knowledge is not power. Ability makes the difference” said Prof. Dr. Dr. Christian Werner, President of the UAM, who has realized the worldwide growing importance of educational management. Together with the European Partner Universities and their highly diverse students the program aims to encourage exchange between research and education, permit an international exchange of students and faculty and to contribute to a sustainable and modern development of management in education.
Established in 2004, UAM is one of the fastest-growing private universities in Germany. Adopting an innovative semi-virtual learning concept, students have more flexibility in learning. Currently over 2000 students are studying several academic and non-academic programs in t the fields of business administration, business psychology and sport management. UAM has several international university partners including LMU Munich, Higher School of Economics Moscow and the Thompson Rivers University in Canada. The University of Applied Management is the coordinating institution of the European Master of Educational Management Program jointly with the Riga Teacher Training and Education Management Academy (Latvia), the Private University College of Education of the Diocese Linz (Austria) and the private University Seeburg Castle (Austria).

Comments about openPR
OpenPR ist the nicest and most clearly laid out PR platform I have seen to this day. The press releases are displayed very nicely and clearly and without any unnecessary frills.
The updates are fast and the finished release looks appealing and is clearly legible.
Even with 16 years of experience one discovers new things from time to time.
Congratulations!
