Bryant & Stratton College Online Hosts Career Webinar: How to Research Industries and Companies
Press release from: Communications Strategy Group
PR Agency: Straight Line PR
Webinar attendees will learn how to find the career and company that are the best match for them
Buffalo, NY, May 31, 2012 - Bryant & Stratton College Online announced today a new session in its ongoing free career training webinar series. Titled “How to Research Companies and Industries,” the free webinar is available to job seekers, prospective students and current Bryant & Stratton College Online students. This session will take place on Wednesday, June 13, from noon to 1:00 p.m. EDT.
Acclaimed career coach Kim Dority will lead the webinar. Ms. Dority is a frequent presenter for Bryant & Stratton College Online and has been writing about and teaching courses on career training for more than a decade.
“Many people haphazardly apply to any job they see available online – and that is not going to get them the best results,” said Dority. “The Internet makes so much information available and job seekers can use that to their advantage to learn about the culture of a company before they ever step foot in the door. Taking the time to do research is an opportunity to arm yourself with details that will make you a standout candidate in the interview.”
The “How to Research Companies and Industries” free webinar will highlight tips and tricks for job hunters and job interviewees alike on researching potential companies or industries. Attendees of the webinar will learn how to:
* Find detailed background information on specific companies, like competitors, hiring practices and current initiatives
* Develop a sense of a company’s “organizational culture”
* Understand industry trends, such as where current opportunities may be found
“At Bryant & Stratton College Online, the career success of our current and prospective students is central to our mission. This webinar shines light on a new way to be a savvy job seeker. And Ms. Dority knows a thing or two about that! Her 10 years of experience in career guidance have made her an expert on the subject and we are thrilled to be able to share her knowledge on this webinar at no cost to attendees,” said Scott Traylor, Associate Campus Director for Online Education at Bryant & Stratton College.
The webinar is offered for free by Bryant & Stratton College Online and is open to current students, prospective students and others seeking information to job search skills. Those interested in attending are invited to register at online.bryantstratton.edu/webinar/. Additionally, following the webinar, attendees will be able to download a hand-out recapping the top strategies addressed in the session.

Comments about openPR
OpenPR ist the nicest and most clearly laid out PR platform I have seen to this day. The press releases are displayed very nicely and clearly and without any unnecessary frills.
The updates are fast and the finished release looks appealing and is clearly legible.
Even with 16 years of experience one discovers new things from time to time.
Congratulations!
