Eureko today announced that, with the tenure of CEO, Mr Timo van Voorden, of Interamerican Romania approaching its end, a new CEO has been appointed. The new incumbent in the CEO position will be Mr Frans van der Ent, who has already been working at Interamerican Romania for a short while, as Pensions Director.
Mr Van der Ent will apply his specialist knowledge to exploit the opportunities presented by the pension reform in Romania. He brings to the position, not only his pensions expertise, but an in-depth knowledge of the markets of CEE, having previously been general manager for Life and Pensions of ING in Slovakia.

Timo van Voorden has been CEO in Romania for over three years now; he has overseen considerable developments at the company during that period. His executive responsibilities as country manager for Romania will be taken over by Frans van der Ent, and his non-executive functions, as Chairman of the Boards of Interamerican Romania, Medisystem Romania and Medisystem Hospital, will be assumed by Eduardo Consiglieri Pedroso, who is CEO of Eureko´s operation in France, Império. Timo will remain a member of the Supervisory Board of the company.
Timo will now return to his native Netherlands, to Eureko´s Dutch (and largest) Operating Company, to take up a position as a Director on the Board of the Broker Division.

Frans van der Ent´s new role is effective from 18 June 2007: Timo van Voorden will be on hand until the end of June 2007, to provide any needed assistance.
