Lexmark Conducts Training And Familiarisation Event In Egypt

Two-day event held for the benefit of channel partners and large account customers
Lexmark International Middle East, recently held a two-day training, promotion and familiarization event for the benefit of their channel partners and large account customers in Egypt. The meet which was designed to keep channel partners and corporate customers aware of the company’s latest product innovations and range of individually-designed solutions, received an enthusiastic response with 26 channel partners and 27 large account customers attending.
The event was addressed by the Lexmark’s General Manager, Channel Sales Manager and Large Accounts Sales Manager along with representatives from Perceptive, Lexmark’s Enterprise Content Management (ECM) provider. Channel partners were given a refresher on the brand’s USP and tools that set them apart from their competitors. They were briefed about the added-value embedded Lexmark product “solutions” and “MPS” , its Total Cost of Operations (TCO) approach and solutions to control customer printing costs and reduce the number of printed pages as well as the printing costs. The Large Account customers were taken through a tutorial about Lexmark’s inherent capabilities in hardware and development of customised solutions.
Beginning with an Introduction about Lexmark’s history and future direction, the audience was briefed about the company’s strategy and focus for 2012. Lexmark’s approach to solutions and Perspective’s advantages were also elaborated on. At the end of the session a demonstration of various solutions was conducted.
“The event achieved its goal of creating greater interaction with our partners and customers. The presentations received an enthusiastic response and we got immense feedback both from our target audiences,” said Mathias Militzer, General Manager of Lexmark International Middle East. “Over 90 per cent of our channel partners expressed satisfaction with the training programme, while many customers indicated that they were far more informed about Lexmark’s potential to come up with solutions to their future needs.”
Lexmark International have been doing business in Egypt since 2006, being represented by two main distributors, Aptec Egypt and International Business Solutions for Electronics (IBS). The company’s presence is further strengthened by 15 channel partners and four service centres across the country to cater to customer demand.
