foresee and IBM announce first secure Multitouch application on interactive tables based on the collaboration software from IBM (Sametime).

Hannover, Germany, May 23, 2012. While the computer has revolutionized individual work and is about to do the same to mobile computing - he forgot almost completely about collaborative work in meetings, conferences and worldwide connected teamwork.

Since 1999 foresee is pushing the limits with innovative conference and work environments for their international clients.
In cooperation with IBM they are introducing the newest game changing solution and product line: The most advanced interactive hard- and software, combined in an innovative work environment, supports the management when coordinating their worldwide divisions as well as distributed teams cooperating on projects around the globe. 
A project for a large German enterprise connecting 3 locations europe-wide is the first clear proof of this vision. 

The InteracTable, an interactive table with a 32´´ Display, equipped with a sophisticated capacitive multi touch hardware and an intuitive software allows worldwide collaboration on a new level. But despite USABILITY which seems to be the modern precondition for technical innovation IT SECURITY is the second highlight. Thanks to the integration of the collaboration platform by IBM (Sametime), one of the biggest player in communication and collaboration software, the complete system can be integrated into the corporate network of the client and thus meets the requirements of international security standards.

Meanwhile the ScreenMate is a helpful assistant on several occasions. Whether a presentation, a videoconference or a project meeting. The light design of the frame allows a flexible usage without problems. In that way the ScreenMate replaces several build in projectors and displays and suits for smaller rooms for meeting and teamwork.
As part of the new product line the ScreenMate is used for videoconference and to easily move documents from the table to the vertical screen for presentation purposes.

- accessing virtual meeting rooms
- opening the document tray
- open a document
- work with a document by moving, rotating, zooming and annotating
- share a document with the vertical screen
- establish a video and audio conference with remote locations
- share and discuss a document with a remote location
- integrate tablets (iPad) or mobile computers 

Creating a new meeting room, uploading documents and the processing of the meeting results is all done via the collaboration software of IBM (Sametime).
With a user base of around 100 Mio IBM Sametime allows the upload of more than 200 different document formats.

Since the InteracTable and the software is a customized design solution, it is possible to flexibly adapt it to different environments. The design of the table as well as the functionality and visual appearance of the interface can be adopted and developed according to the clients requirements.

foresee was founded in 2005 but actually started in 1999 as part of the office furniture and conferencing company Wilkhahn (www.wilkhahn.com).
Based on applied research projects with the Fraunhofer Society, EDF France and within the research program of the European commission foresee acquired profound knowledge about collaborative work and future work environments capable of supporting meetings and worldwide connected teamwork. Since 2002 foresee realised amongst others projects for well-known international clients such as ETH Zurich, Siemens, infineon, Telekom, T-Mobile UK, ABN AMRO and Continental. In addition they used their knowledge to create interactive solutions for exhibitions, showrooms and shops.
The current project is pushing the limits for two reasons: time is ripe + the solution is fully integrated into the backend of the client thanks to IBM Sametime. The focus is on management requirements, multiple user interaction and on usability, design and simplicity.
