In preparation for beach season, SHAPE, the #1 women's active lifestyle magazine, is thrilled to announce that its fourth annual Summer Beach Tour, (formerly Bikini Body Tour) will once again hit the hottest beaches, starting with Hermosa Beach, Calif. (1 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Bach, CA - North of the Pier) on June 2, 2012 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. The SHAPE Summer Beach Tour will be filled with exhilarating fitness classes, summer fashion shows, interactive beauty cabanas, product-packed gift bags and so much more! Jordin Sparks, SHAPE's future cover model and star of the upcoming film Sparkle, will make an exclusive appearance beginning at 2:30 p.m.

The SHAPE Summer Beach Tour is dedicated to helping women and men get in shape for beach season with fun-filled fitness classes led by LA's most talented fitness instructors, including two classes taught by Hollywood Trainer Jeanette Jenkins. Guests can sweat it out with a variety of heart-pumping classes including, Jeanette's Bikini Bootcamp or ride the waves with a surf class taught by the experts of the Jimmy Miller Foundation.

After you get your workout on, head over to the SHAPE runway and check out the hottest looks for summer straight from the covers of SHAPE, in an exclusive all-day fashion show hosted by SHAPE’s Senior Associate Lifestyle Editor, Bahar Takhtehchian. Beach Cabana Activities include:

- So you think you can Danskin? – Get your groove on with Danskin! Danskin will host a booty-shakin’ dance contest. Contestants will receive a swag bag from SHAPE and Danskin.
- Do you Dare to Bare? – Join Sally Hansen for a round of Double Dare competitions for a chance to win awesome prizes! Plus, sit with a Sally Hansen aesthetician for a waxing treatment.
- Drop your Cover Up! – Special K® in partnership with SHAPE and Sauipe Swimwear created a line of custom red suits specifically made for bodies of all shapes from athletic to curvy!

NEW for 2012! – SHAPE will continue the fun with an After Party at American Junkie (68 Pier Ave. Hermosa Beach, CA) from 3-5pm. Voli Light Vodka mixed cocktails will be served to the crowds as they mix and mingle. SHAPE’s future cover model and star of the upcoming film Sparkle, Jordin Sparks, will be onsite signing autographs.

SHAPE Summer Beach Tour is open to the public and free to attend, fitness classes are $10 each with proceeds going to the Skin Cancer Foundation. Surf Classes are $15 each with proceeds going to the Jimmy Miller Foundation. All class participants receive a swag bag from SHAPE and its sponsors!
