Bettina Wulff is involved in the London 2012 Paralympics
Press release from: Otto Bock HealthCare GmbH
Ambassador for people with disabilities
Bettina Wulff is actively involved in competitive sports for people with disabilities at the London 2012 Paralympics (29 Aug. 2012 to 9 Sept. 2012). She and company owner Prof. Hans Georg Näder will welcome numerous international guests of honour from the world of sports, politics, and business on behalf of Otto Bock HealthCare, the German company that is the global leader in the technical orthopaedics market, providing 78 technicians for the 4,200 athletes from all over the world.
"I am inspired by how the Paralympics contribute to a more relaxed way of dealing with disabilities. If I can have a part in this, I am glad to do what I can," stated Bettina Wulff. This adds a sport-related aspect of inclusion to her social commitment, for example as patron of "Eine Chance für Kinder" (Opportunities for Children) for the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
Contact with Ottobock was already good while Christian Wulff was still Premier of Lower Saxony. The headquarters of the "hidden champion" are in Duderstadt/Eichsfeld. Since 1988 in Seoul, Ottobock has been present at all summer and winter Paralympic Games and since 2005, it has been a partner of the International Paralympic Committee. CEO Prof. Hans Georg Näder, "I am absolutely delighted! We are pleased to welcome Bettina Wulff as project partner of the Paralympics to our large global family."
