Press release from: California College San Diego
San Diego, CA, May 17, 2012 — In a development that’s likely to impact students eager to hasten their graduation process, California College San Diego is now offering the opportunity to earn an associate’s degree in computer programming in as little as15 months.
The normal schedule for the Associate of Applied Science in Computer Programming degree is 20 months at California College San Diego, but candidates have the option of finishing this program in less-than-normal completion time.
Graduating more quickly has been made possible with the college’s flexible schedule, which allows students to complete part of their academic program at home and part at school.
By allowing students to graduate in less time, California College San Diego allows them to enter the job market that much sooner.
Of course, graduating early also means candidates have to contend with a more intensive study schedule, as they have to finish their coursework in less than the normal stipulated time for completing the program.
The degree in computer programming at California College San Diego is designed to prepare graduates for a variety of entry-level roles in the field of information technology, such as computer programming, web development, software engineering, etc.
Students enrolled in this AAS program have to complete coursework in Computer Fundamentals, Computer Servicing, Network Infrastructure, Security Concepts, Operating Systems, Logic, Programming Fundamentals, Web Design, and programming languages like C#.
The degree program is available at California College San Diego’s branch campus in San Marcos, the main campus in San Diego, and its satellite in National City.
Since classes start at the college every month, candidates who have a high school diploma or a GED certificate can begin the enrollment process right away. The college has Admission Consultants and Financial Planners on board to help students every step of the way during the enrollment process.
