“Gemological Institute Of America Is Among The Best In The World” – Yousef Khoory
Premium retailers of jewellery and watches across the UAE, Mohammed Rasool Khoory & Sons, recently organised a training and familiarisation course for their client-facing salespersons in association with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
The three-day course, conducted by a GIA expert, was designed to enhance the familiarity and knowledge of sales personnel with the latest practices and techniques prevalent in the marketplace and intended to improve the efficiency and standards of customer service across all outlets of the organisation.
“We believe in providing the best possible customer experience to our clients,” said Yousef Khoory, CEO of Mohammed Rasool Khoory & Sons. “This course enables our staff to reach even greater levels of professional efficiency and expertise, leading to a more rewarding interaction for our clients. We plan to extend the highest levels of customer service across our outlets in the region,” he added.
“On-going education and continued training are vital to helping our teams remain at the cutting edge of the industry and through such courses they gain information on grading and identification of precious stones as well as in-depth immersion into and the important hands-on training for working with clients,” Mr Khoory added.
The three-day course trained the focus on critical product knowledge and proven sales techniques – including intensive training in the finer points of selling diamonds, gemstones and pearls. Attendees were taught about carat, cut, colour, polishing and grading of all kinds of diamonds and gems as well as the types and sources of pearls and their various value factors. They were also given tips to develop confidence and provide accurate product information to customers.
