VIS for Office 365 is a complete end-to-end solution including: synching users and groups, providing a cloud firewall that can filter or translate data as it is synched (or during authentication), as well as, providing complete audit logging, two-factor authentication and denial of service (DoS) capabilities.

VIS for Office 365 contains a built-in cloud firewallprotecting a customer’s internal AD,allowing administrators to easily decide what data is synchronized to the cloud, rather than all user and groups being synchronized to the cloud. VIS for Office 365 also supports customers with either non-routable domains for a UserPrincipalName such as JoeUser@Optimal.local or multiple UPN suffixes. It handles this on-the-fly by translating on the outbound synch and as the user authenticates to Office 365, with no data changes required in Active Directory.

Additionally, VIS for Office 365 includes advancedcompliance and auditing capabilities. As users authenticate to the cloud, VIS for Office 365 automatically logs who authenticated, when, and with what claims to a SQL database. Administrators can use the out-of-the-box reports or use their favorite reporting tool to mine this data.VIS for Office 365 alsoprovides powerful denial of service (DoS) prevention and detection to an Office 365 deployment, by detecting and preventing an account from being locked. Alerts and emails can even be triggered to notify administrators that there has been an incident.
