Central Veterinary Associates to Offer Low-Cost Vaccination and Microchip Clinic during First Annual “Dog Day at the Green”

VALLEY STREAM, NY — In celebration of the grand opening of the Valley Stream Dog Park, Central Veterinary Associates will be offering a low-cost rabies vaccination and microchip clinic on May 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both clinics will be held during the first annual “Dog Day at the Green,” which is being presented by the Incorporated Village of Valley Stream and the Friends of the Valley Stream Dog Park.

Pet owners can bring in their animals to be vaccinated against rabies for a suggested donation of only $10. Microchipping is also available for a $25 donation, plus $18 to register the pet into the database. All proceeds will go to benefit the Friends of Valley Stream Dog Park. In addition to the clinics, the event will feature local rescue groups with dogs available for adoption, vendors, pet training and obedience advice and demonstrations, a pet portrait artist and raffles.

Central Veterinary Associates has provided thousands of dollars towards the establishment of the park. The veterinarians at CVA have provided low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics as a public service in order to encourage pet owners to keep their pets safe.
