DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG and Detlef Kornett launch Verescon AG consulting company

Berlin - April 26, 2012: DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG (ISIN DE000A0Z23G6), one of Europe’s leading entertainment companies, and Detlef Kornett, longtime CEO of Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) in Europe join forces to create the consulting company Verescon AG.
The name Verescon stands for Venue Research Consulting. The Verescon activities are offered to venues, its owners and operators and focus on consultancy and support in the areas of operations, content, re-positioning, cost optimisation and marketing. The company targets civic and privately owned venues and theatres in Europe. In Germany alone more than 400 venues such as community and multi-purpose facilities are currently in operation. At the time of the launch of the joint company the first two consultancy projects in Germany and Austria have already been secured.
DEAG Deutsche Entertainment Company is one of Europe’s leading entertainment companies and promoters and has been operating the Frankfurt Jahrhunderthalle for more than 10 years. After having run the Berlin Waldbühne for 27 years and having operated theatres in Berlin, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf and Vienna DEAG has a lasting expertise in venue management. The expertise of DEAG is now completed by the extensive international experience of Detlef Kornett in design, financing, building and operations of globally known arenas and venues throughout Europe. In connection therewith Detlef Kornett acted very successfully in the positioning, operations and marketing of internationally important sport events and sport teams.
Detlef Kornett initially acted as Managing Director for the various European activities of Anschutz Entertainment Group from 2000 until 2010 and apart from the activities in Sweden, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Germany initiated and followed through with the acquisition and construction of “The O2” in London. Thereafter he was in charge of the O2 World in Berlin as an urban planning, construction project and the operation of the venue and executed the purchase, re-organisation and re-branding of the Hamburg O2 World. Detlef Kornett then worked with Red Bull in the previous year and oversaw international projects for the company, most notably “Soccer” on three continents.
