Spring of 2012 has been a semester of firsts for Hope International University (HIU). In addition to achieving the highest enrollment numbers in the University’s history, HIU is pleased to announce its ranking this year with the U.S. News & World Report as a Western Regional College. HIU ranked in the #25 position.

“As the Chief Academic Officer and as an alum of Hope, I’m very pleased with our entrance onto the U.S. News & World Report list,” stated Dr. Paul Alexander, Vice President for Academic Affairs.

HIU is now ranked with other top institutions in the Western region. This accomplishment is a milestone for the University and validates the many improvements HIU has recently undergone.

“Over the past several years we have made significant changes at Hope in the academic arena, chief among them being the move from two schools to five colleges,” Dr. Alexander said. “This academic restructuring has really energized faculty and students and taken us to a new level of scholarship and community within and across disciplines. I believe that HIU offers a great education in an intimate and personal setting.”

The University has seen additional substantial positive changes recently including four new vice presidents and a renewed campus-wide emphasis on four qualities – efficiency, quality, innovation and responsiveness.
