Dallas – Fish & Richardson announced today that three attorneys from the firm’s Dallas office have been named to the 2012 D Magazine list of “The Best Lawyers in Dallas.”

Firm principals Tom Melsheimer, Stephen Fox and Bill Mateja all have been selected to the exclusive listing of the city’s top attorneys. All three lawyers have earned multiple prior selections to the annual list.

Mr. Melsheimer, who was selected to this year’s list based on his work in business litigation, is the managing principal for the Dallas office of Fish & Richardson. He regularly represents individuals and corporations in significant courtroom litigation, including patent infringement claims, business disputes, and False Claims Act matters.

Mr. Fox, co-head of the firm’s Business Litigation group, earned a spot on the 2012 list based on his representation of businesses and individuals in labor & employment litigation. Having secured one of the country’s largest employment law verdicts in 2011 ($32 million for breach of contract), Mr. Fox’s wide-ranging practice includes litigation involving trade secret theft, corporate espionage, unfair competition, class and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and employment discrimination.

Mr. Mateja was selected to this year’s list based on his work in the areas of white collar criminal defense, government investigations, and health care fraud and abuse. The former Senior Counsel to U.S. Deputy Attorneys General Larry Thompson and James Comey in Washington, D.C., Mr. Mateja also served as point person for the President’s Corporate Fraud Task Force while also overseeing the Justice Department’s white collar, health care fraud and corporate fraud efforts.
