Membership to ECSN opens new collaboration opportunities
Gateway Electronic Components, a leading independent franchised distributor and supply chain solution specialist, has joined the influential Electronic Components Supply Network (ECSN) trade association.As a full member, this new relationship is a positive move that will benefit both parties. Gateway will bring a breath of industry expertise and best practice in supply chain solutions and in return will benefit from the industry collaboration and market analysis that the ECSN offers.

Founded in 1970 as a not-for-profit trade association, the Association of Franchised Distributors of Electronic Components (afdec) represented the emerging electronic components distribution businesses in the UK. These organisations grew rapidly over the next two decades with many listing as public companies. With members needing good industry statistics afdec established an industry leading statistical reporting process. Electronic components manufacturers joined the association in the mid 1980’s and in 2009 the Electronic Component Supply Network was formed to support the entire industry infrastructure from Research, through Components Manufacturers, Channel Partners, Systems Integrators and End of Life / Reuse.
