‘La Nuova Sardegna’ and the dailies ‘AltoAdige’ and ‘Trentino’ are live with Atex Content
Press release from: Atex
La Nuova Sardegna, L’AltoAdige and il Trentino, dailies of Gruppo Editoriale L’Espresso are live with Atex Content. With the addition of the Sardinian daily, "L'AltoAdige" and "Trentino", the number of daily newspapers from the group live on the same production system is now 16, with over 700 editors and layout editors.
In 2011, Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso adopted Atex’s solution to manage production for its print and digital titles, using Atex Content as the common platform for the whole group.
The "one system" project for the local newspapers of Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso has now delivered an end-to-end process, from the ingestion of advertising planning to print production and web publishing using Atex Content and DAM solutions, for the group dailies: "Corriere delle Alpi", "Gazzetta di Mantova", "Gazzetta di Modena", "Gazzetta di Reggio", "Il Mattino di Padova", "Messaggero Veneto", "La Nuova Venezia e Mestre", "La Nuova Ferrara", "La Nuova Sardegna", "Alto Adige", "Trentino", "Il Piccolo", "La Provincia Pavese", "Il Tirreno", "La Tribuna di Treviso" and "La Sentinella del Canavese".
Atex Content, with Atex Anthology DAM and Atex Web CMS will enable a single production environment for all the dailies and magazines of Gruppo Espresso, fully integrated with advertisment systems, to create print, web and tablet products. This will result in a consolidated creation, management and delivery production process for all channels.
All users are working with a single tool that simplifies content gathering (wires, pictures, graphics, multimedia, contributors, archives) and packaging, using a workflow that streamlines the collaboration between different roles and shortens production times.
The transparent integration with the advertisement systems grant complete process control and a fully automated workflow.
The Atex Content project leverages Atex Newsroom (Atex’s own content and layout editor tool) to manage the dailies’ production ("La Repubblica" and the 18 regional newspapers of the group) and Adobe CS5.5 Suite to produce weekly and monthly magazines. Atex Web CMS drives the Group’s websites to implement a fully converged environment.
With the adoption of a single multichannel solution, Gruppo Espresso has been able to converge print and web publishing workflows and, thanks to the adaptability of Atex Content, it has been possbile to review standard processes to increase productivity and efficiency.
GELE management has chosen the Atex converged solution as the single platform for all its products. It is now completing the implementation in the 18 regional dailies and starting the migration process for "Espresso" and the other group magazines. The next phase of the project will bring the organisational changes to the group’s flagship title, the national daily "La Repubblica".
"Atex was very proud to have had the opportunity to work on such an unparalleled project in the Italian and worldwide editorial industry", said Federico Marturano, Managing Director of Atex Italy. "The editorial business is undergoing a radical change process, led by the rapid pace of technological advancements, that requires flexibility in adapting and transforming the organisational models. Atex, with its product portfolio and worldwide experience, is the perfect partner to support this change process."
