WomenCertified Poll Shares Female Opinion on Ann Romney
Press release from: WomenCertified
The Woman Voter is Voting Democrat, Believes Ann Romney was “Slighted” and Feels that Obama has her Back
WomenCertified, the Voice of the Female Consumer, asked 5,000 women about the Ann Romney Stay at Home Mom debate, as well as which candidate’s wife can they relate to, and who would they vote for today. The results mirror the opinion of women in America as they are clearly defensive of a mother’s choice to stay at home with 62% of women saying that a stay at home mom cannot be accused of never working. Yet 55% of women do not believe Ann Romney can relate to the challenges of a typical stay at home mom.
Delia Passi, leading female consumer advocate and founder of WomenCertified, stated “it’s clear that women have taken issue with anyone challenging her choice to stay at home and raise a family, and they are ready to defend Ann. The fact that they cannot relate to her is another issue and one that the Romney campaign needs to take seriously in their strategy to win the female vote.”
60% of women can relate more to Michelle Obama and believe that her husband, President Barack Obama, better understands the challenges of a working class family. In addition 60% of women feel that President Obama is a better supporter of women’s rights than Mitt Romney.
While Mitt Romney is reported to have a better track record of hiring females, the female voter doesn’t agree, with 57% of women believing that President Obama has a stronger record of employing women. Most importantly is that President Obama owns her majority vote, with 58% of women ready to re-elect him.
This election is going to be decided by the female vote. With President Obama leading the female consumer vote its apparent the Republicans are falling short in meeting her expectations on political issues as well as their strategy to connect on an emotional level. While we’d like to think people will vote based on policies and experience, most people vote from their heart as to who is the candidate that can trust” shares Passi.
