(DALLAS, TX) April 16, 2012 – CoVerica, one of Texas’s most modern and fastest growing insurance agencies, today announced the new hire of Jim Bailey as senior vice president. The role will include traditional vice president responsibilities as well as developing the company’s California master agency.

Bailey will also oversee retail insurance operations as well as joint venture and merger opportunities.

“Jim is a solution oriented model of professionalism who strives to do his best and bring out the greatest in those he works with. We are thrilled to add him to the executive management team,” said Mike Sterlacci, president and CEO.

Bailey brings more than 20 years of sales, marketing, underwriting, general and senior management experience to this role. Bailey is returning to Dallas where in 2002 he was Safeco’s regional vice president. More recently he was president of D.R. Sparks Insurance Services, and served as vice president and underwriting manager at Davidson-Babcock.

Bailey is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois, Missouri Association of Insurance Agents, and Allied Insurance Company Illinois Agency Council. He will be relocating from Alton, Ill. to Dallas.

Bailey graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor of Science degree in management. He also has a Master of Business Administration in general management from Drury University.

Bailey is a member of Enjoy Church in Alton, Ill. and enjoys gardening, staying physically fit, and following spectator sports including football.
