When opposites attract…- A new shade solution by markilux breathes life into conservatories
Press release from: Schmitz-Werke GmbH + Co. KG markilux
PR Agency: conzept3
Whether large or small; thick or thin - opposites attract. They make our lives more exciting and fascinate us. There is something very special about playing with contrasts.
Square meets round
With this in mind the German awning specialist markilux took it upon themselves to revitalise conservatory awnings. The result? The markilux 8800. Its design plays with contrasts and shapes. The slim, round cover cassette blends edges and corners by melding perfectly with the angular rails which extend and retract the cover and which give the awning its shape. This break from traditional conservatory awning design is strong on contrasts yet perfectly harmonised. The angularity of the awning reflects contemporary conservatory designand ensures perfect harmony between structure and shade solution. Appropriate proportions, a consistent appearance and refined lounge colours give this awning a timelessly modern look.
Those requiring extra protection from the wind can opt for guide rails with the markilux zip system. The cover then runs flush in the rails according to a type of zip principle, making it more resistant to wind. The new awning is available up to seven metres wide with a maximum projection of five metres.
markilux is the (market) leader in the area of awning production in Germany and one business domain of the Schmitz-Werke GmbH + Co. KG in the Westphalian Emsdetten. Since 1972 the family enterprise has been producing awnings for terraces, conservatories and windows. The high-quality products are distributed by professional partners in Germany and abroad. About 1,200 selected companies assure the high qualitative standards during the assembly of the awnings. The basic principle of the enterprise is: „There is nothing that cannot be improved.“
