MARKHAM, Ontario (April 11, 2012) – Shimco announced today the receipt of the prestigious Bell Helicopter Premier Supplier Award. This designation recognizes Shimco's world class business processes and quality products, including precision manufactured parts, laminated and edgebond shims, tapers and spacers.

In order to qualify for the Premier Supplier Award, a supplier must meet or exceed numerous standards including AS9100 Certification, consistent delivery of high-quality materials at a minimum 98 percent frequency rate, and a high rating on a cross-functional on-site inspection conducted by Bell Helicopter. Shimco currently provides Bell Helicopter with general and machined shims, supporting all models in production.
