During this year’s China Refrigeration (April, 11th – 13th) Ziehl-Abegg won an innovation award for the FE2owlet axial fan range. With 1,000 exhibitors, China Refrigeration is one of the leading exhibitions in the world for refrigeration, air-conditioning, heating and ventilation, frozen food processing, packaging and storage. It features a wide range of exhibits, with the latest advances in technologies reflecting the most significant developments and achievements in the industry.
The jury honoured Ziehl-Abegg as a company that is driven by technology for high efficiency products by the use of innovative bionic technology. This will enable Ziehl-Abegg to meet future worldwide directives for fan efficiency.
Export Manager Thomas Brommer says that he will bring this award to the engineers in Kuenzelsau: “They have just finished a new fan system called ZAplus which saves 20 percent energy.” Along with 20-percent energy savings during operation, the new axial fan system provides device manufacturers with significant technical and logistical advantages. "Given that our new ZAplus fan system exceeds the ErP 2015 EU Directive requirements even with the classic AC motors, with modern EC motors we can even further exceed those requirements of the EU" adds Fenkl. That provides device manufacturers certainty even beyond 2015 (ErP 2015). A successful course has already been set today to clearly exceed the future requirements.
China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association (CRAA), founded in 1989, is a national non-profit industrial organisation mainly representing refrigeration and air-conditioning manufacturers, and research, design institutes and academies as well, with the principal of voluntary participation. CRAA is a major voice for the whole industry.
