Exton, PA (April 11, 2012) – Education Management Solutions (EMS), a software developer of simulation management and audio-video solutions for training environments, was ranked #18 on Philadelphia’s Top Technology Employers 2011 list published by the Philadelphia Business Journal. In 2011, the Exton, Pa-based company increased its employee base by 23 percent compared to 2010 staffing levels, and a significant 78 percent when compared to 2009 levels. As of March 2012, EMS has already increased its employee headcount by 8 percent over 2011, and will continue to add more resources this year.
Accompanying the growth in staff, EMS enjoyed a three-year sales growth of 153%. To accommodate this growth, EMS has relocated to a 72,300 square foot facility on Creamery Way in Exton, a short distance from its original location. The new World Headquarters boasts a substantial increase in floor space, anticipating expansion and future growth plans over the next few years.
“While we are proud of our 2011 accomplishments, EMS is looking forward to completing 2012 on a high note. The groundwork we laid last year has set the stage for success as we expand the adoption of our leading-edge technology into our current and new markets,” said Anurag Singh, President and CEO of EMS.
In addition to sales and employment gains, EMS earned numerous awards and honors in 2011. For the fifth consecutive year, Inc. magazine ranked EMS No. 1742 on its annual Inc. 500|5000 list as one of the fastest growing private companies in the US. EMS enjoys a similar distinction as one of the Top 100 companies in the Philadelphia-New Jersey-Delaware region.
