Press release from: Olive PR Solutions, Inc

Specializing in services and specialty garments for the beast cancer community, as well as a trusted resource for health and wellness news.

San Diego, CA, April 04, 2012 -- Daunting as it may seem, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime - there is no manual, no protocol, and no warning. While there are countless websites and organizations committed to building awareness and educating women on prevention and where to get services, the survivor is often overlooked. PinkRibbonAnnex.com is a site committed to being a trusted lifelong resource for women who have, or have had, breast cancer.

PinkRibbonAnnex.com was launched by two-time breast cancer survivor Carolyn Clark. Given her second clean bill of health five years ago, Clark committed herself to a unique challenge of producing a comprehensive site for all things for women who have, or have had, breast cancer.

“Breast cancer survivors share several common characteristics, but what stands out for me is their transcendent beauty and wisdom. It’s what we earn as we begin to reclaim our lives,” said Clark. “Even though we don’t want cancer to define us, most of us wind up searching for a new normal after the Scare and Scar, as I call it. Whether the diagnosis was yesterday or 20 years ago, we do have special needs and, in some cases, need special designs that aren’t readily available.”

PinkRibbonAnnex.com is intended to incorporate the top destination for health and wellness news with an online retail mall for women frustrated with the typical store experience. Whether they are services, head coverings, cosmetics, swimwear or body-reshaping intimates, they are all emotional items. That’s why Pink Shops, debuting on PinkRibbonAnnex.com, is designed to offer solutions focusing on specialty garments and products.

“For me the new normal also included taking better care of myself. After I lost my hair and dealt with feeling mortal I wanted to get back to the business of living. Information was the catalyst. I found that knowledge and learning were powerful and encouraging. Hence, The Pink Post, an aggregated news source with Fitness, Nutrition, Health and Wellness articles,” added Clark.

Clark spent endless hours searching for quality information and products to fit her needs while battling breast cancer both 20 and five years ago. Now, there is a one-stop-shop where those impacted by breast cancer can go for all their needs.

An important part of PinkRibbonAnnex.com is its Good Works to promote the advancement of education, science and the public’s awareness and knowledge of breast health issues by thoughtful and effective giving of 5% of all gross sales and 10% of all double-pink-ribbon featured Send-a-Hug sales to our Selected Partners.
